We offer private and Group Lessons

What is feels like

E-foiling offers a unique experience that allows you to feel like you're hovering over the surface of the water. The hydrofoil that is attached to the bottom of the board allows you to achieve lift just like an airplane. With the electric motor, there is hardly any noise produced.

Whats A Lesson Like

Lessons last around 1 hr to 1.5 hours. On average, most of our students can start to foil within an hour. This will depend on your physical condition and sports background. Added time is available. We conduct our lessons at Walled Lake in Novi and Belle Isle Beach in Detroit. We can also come to you if you happen to have lake access. In the spring and fall, we use wetsuits. By summertime time the water is warm enough to go without. A liability waiver must be signed by all participants before the lesson. They are available on our homepage to download.

We break the lessons up into 4 stages and steadily progress at your own pace.

At the end of the lessons, we do a debriefing and answer any questions you have about the lesson or boards.

We operate from May to the End of October.

The Boards

We use Waydoo E-Foils. The boards are made with an EPP foam, reducing the risk of bumps and bruises that can come along with learning on a traditional fiberglass board. This shock-resistant material makes it much more forgiving.

The boards are 90-130 liters, making them very stable for beginner riders looking to learn to efoil.

Our boards can support up to 298 lbs.

Flyer Pod

We offer additional training tools that can be attached to the board to give added stability and control. The flyer pod is an inflatable device that wraps around the board, giving the an extra 90 liters of buoyancy. This tool is great for heavier riders or those who are having a little more difficulty with balance while standing.

Step 3

We move to our knees. We're trying to find the proper position to start to foil by leaning forward and backward to engage the hydrofoil.

Step 4

Once you show your ability to foil well on your knees, we move to the standing position. We practice with the board flat in the water, getting used to distributing our weight to engage the foil, trying to find that sweet spot.
