What is an E-Foil Lesson?

E-foiling is one of the most unique water sports experiences in the world — and you can learn it in just one hour. An electric hydrofoil board lifts you silently above the surface of the water using a battery-powered motor and underwater wing. No waves, no engine noise, no experience required. It feels like hovering.

What's Included:

• 1 hour of private instruction with a certified Detroit E-Foil guide
• Land briefing covering board controls, body position, and safety
• Full water session at Belle Isle Beach (Detroit) or Lakeshore Park (Novi)
• Waydoo e-foil board, wetsuit, helmet, and life jacket provided
• Optional video package add-on (+$50) so you can relive every moment

What to Expect:

Your lesson starts on land where your instructor walks you through the basics — throttle control, balance, and how to fall safely. Once on the water you'll start on your stomach, progress to your knees, then stand up and ride. Most riders are fully foiling above the water within their first session. Skill progression depends on your athletic background but our instructors are experienced at teaching all levels.
